Know Before Renting

Can I schedule a tour before booking? Absolutely! Please email bookings@whitecenterhub.org to schedule.

Are there any special rules? Absolutely! We have the right to withdraw any rental booking if they do not obey the following rules. All individuals using any of the event spaces at the HUB must: - Treat others with dignity, respect, and kindness. - Abide by all posted signage and staff directives. - Refrain from any discriminatory, harassing, or violent behavior. - Maintain appropriate noise levels and respect the need for quiet in designated areas. - Ensure that personal belongings do not block walkways or common areas. - Clean up after themselves in all shared spaces.

What are the hours I can rent? Monday – Friday: 7:00AM - 10:00PM Saturday – Sunday: 9:00AM - 10:00PM Your reservation must include all the time necessary to set up, operate, teardown and clean up your event. Hours may be extended until 11PM for 1-hour of clean-up and breakdown. Please note: Listed hours are based off the King County Noise Ordinance. What is the capacity of your spaces? It depends on how you want to lay out the room! Standing Layout (not too many tables): 300 people can mingle about comfortably. Cocktail tables are available to rent. Chairs Only (Theatre Style): 200 people with enough walking space. Round Tables and Chairs (Banquet Style): 160 people (20 tables and 8 chairs per table)

What does parking look like? We have a shared parking lot with a limited number of spaces. If the lot is full, there is ample parking at the White Center Bicycle Playground at 11050 10th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98146. From the parking lot to the HUB is less than a minute walk through the park. The other option is street parking along 108th St and 10th Ave SW. depending on where you parked, the time it takes to walk to the HUB varies.

Pricing and Fees

How much does each space cost? Savusa Hall: *requires a minimum of 4 hours rental Monday – Thursday: $160/hr Friday – Sunday: $180/hr Learning Lab(s): Individual - $70/hr Combined Learning Labs (all 3 labs) - $160/hr Conference Room(s): $60/hr

Is there a booking deposit? Yes. The booking deposit requires that at the time of booking, a 25% deposit based off your total cost will be required to hold the space. Your booking deposit will be applied toward your final balance. For reservations made within 30 days of the reservation start date, the full reservation total and deposit are due at the time of application.

What is your Community Rate Discount? Yes, we have discounts for community organizations and residents of White Center. Organizations - Our community rate is available to grassroots, nonprofit, and resident-led groups based in or serving White Center. Priority is given to organizations that center equity, accessibility and local partnership. The community rate may be subject to availability and is not valid for commercial or ticketed events. Contact us for details and eligibility. Individuals - Residents of White Center may be eligible for a reduced rental rate for personal or community-based events such as family gatherings, memorials, or cultural celebrations. What if I need to cancel my booking? We understand that sometimes certain things come up and you cannot continue with your reservations. Our cancellation policy is based on days before the event date. If the cancellation is... >31 days prior to the event: Full deposit refund. If the event has been paid in full, the refund will be issued in full. 15–30 days to the event: 50% deposit refund.If the event has been paid in full, everything besides 50% of the deposit will be returned.

Do I need to buy my own event insurance? Yes, you do. Renters may be required to provide proof of liability insurance for certain event types, especially those involving alcohol, large attendance, or third-party vendors. Details will be provided during the booking process.

Amenities

Is the venue ADA compliant and wheelchair accessible? Yes! All of the White Center HUB is fully ADA compliant and designed to be welcoming for all guests. We provide step-free access, wheelchair-accessible entrances and restrooms, and wide pathways throughout the space. If you or your guests have any specific accessibility needs, please let the White Center HUB Event Coordinator know in advance.

Are we allowed to bring food and alcohol? Food: Yes, you are welcome to provide your own food or catering for your private event. When submitting your event inquiry form, please indicate that you are planning to have food at your event. Savusa Hall has a catering kitchen available for food prep; coordination with the site event coordinator is required to use the catering kitchen. No homemade items are permitted for public events. Caterers will be required to coordinate with the White Center HUB event coordinator to make sure all necessary permit needs are met. Alcohol: Yes, however, the White Center HUB does not provide alcohol for events. If you are interested in serving alcohol at your event, options are available. When submitting your event inquiry form, please indicate that you would like alcohol at your event. Additional fees, security deposits, and permits will be required.

Is there wifi available? Yes! Free guest wifi is available while using HUB services. All of the White Center HUB has high-speed wifi available.

Do you have a kitchen we can use? Yes, we have a catering kitchen available. It comes with one warming oven and one fridge. There are two small sinks available for use. The kitchen has a sliding window that allows you to pass food through to the event hall.

Do you have equipment to watch and play music or videos? Yes, we have state-of-the-art audio and visual systems. We have three 110" full color HD TVs as seen in the gallery/spaces page.

Set Up, Clean Up, & Decor

What does set up and clean up look like? Your reservation must include all the time necessary to set up, operate, teardown and clean up your event. Depending on availability, you may be permitted to set up the day prior (at hourly-rate pricing). Conference rooms and Learning Labs have a 1-hour minimum, Savusa Hall has a 4-hour minimum. All setup & cleanup must be completed within the hours you reserved. For example, if your event is 5–9 PM, and you need 1 hour to set up and 1 hour to clean, you must book 4-10 PM. Renters are responsible for returning the space in the condition it was received. Excessive mess, damage to property, or misuse of the space may result in additional cleaning or repair fees, charged to the card on file or invoiced separately. Options are available for both included amenities and items available to rent for an additional fee.

Do you have any free decorations? Available at no cost: 200 white, resin, padded chairs 20 round folding tables 4 rectangle folding tables 20 high cocktail tables

Do you have other decorations we can pay for? We don't have furniture. However, we have the following: Available add-ons: Ivory tablecloths (all table types) Black tablecloths (all table types) Microphones (2 available) Podium Dance Floor (12x12ft, set-up included) Renters are welcome to bring their own décor and furnishings. If there is any wall decorations, we emphasize that you use BLUE painters tape to minimize the damages. Please Note: Renters are subject to all decoration policies listed in the contract agreement.

Do you have a lost & found? Yes, we do. You can visit our front desk during operating hours to check in. Lost items will be kept at the HUB welcome desk for 30 days. Unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of after this period. The White Center HUB and Savusa Hall is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
